T. Lynn Warthan, MD
Dr. Lynn Warthan is a board-certified Dermatologist and has been in private practice in Nacogdoches for 36 years. Dr. Warthan is an honor graduate of The University of Texas in Austin, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Following an internship at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, he completed a dermatology residency at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, generally considered one of the top five dermatology programs in the country.
Dr. Warthan has published extensively in peer-reviewed dermatology journals, and has participated in skin cancer screenings sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology for over 30 years.
Dr. Warthan is a past president of the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine Alumni Association, and is a member of the Development Board of the University of Texas Medical Branch, as well as President’s Cabinet at UTMB.
Dr. Warthan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and also holds memberships in the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Dermatologic Society, as well as the local Nacogdoches-San Augustine County Medical Society.
Dr. Warthan is well respected by his peers, as well as his patients. He practices general dermatology, and sees both adult and pediatric patients. He is accomplished in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Warthan and his wife, Jackie, have two daughters who are both dermatologists, and both of his daughters practice with him on a part-time basis. He and his family are avid fly fishers, and enjoy family vacations. He is also a dedicated sportsman, and a life-long quail hunter.
